Steps to complete referral :
- Complete the information for both yourself and the person you are referring.
- Your eligible family member or coworker will receive an email notification with a link to the Credit Unions online application and directions to open their account.
- If the referee is a Family Member you will be sent a sponsorship form to complete.
To receive the $100 deposit the new member must meet the following criteria:
- To qualify for this promotion, a referred new member must be employed by the City of Long Beach or the City of Signal Hill or be a qualifying family member of a city employee, including spouse, registered domestic partner, child, mother, father, son-in-law, daughter-in-law or grandchild.
- The referred new member must (1) establish a new membership with LBCEFCU; (2) Open a new checking account; (3) within 60 days of opening, receive a direct deposit of a minimum of $500 per month, (4) sign up for a debit card, and (5) register for electronic statements.
- Both the current member and the referred member will receive $100 deposited to their respective accounts once requirements have been met.
